McAfee, LLC (formerly known as McAfee Associates, Inc. in 1987–2014 and Intel Security Group in 2014–2017) is an American global computer security software company headquartered in Santa Clara, California.

McAfee primarily develops digital-security tools for personal computers and server devices, and more recently, for mobile devices.

McAfee solutions are designed to work together, integrating anti-malware, antispyware, and antivirus software with security management features that deliver real-time visibility and analytics, reduce risk, ensure compliance, improve Internet security, and help businesses achieve operational efficiencies.

The company was purchased by Intel in February 2011, and became part of the Intel Security division.

The company was founded in 1987 as McAfee Associates, named for its founder John McAfee, who resigned from the company in 1994.
